Joe’s

A splendid elevated grass pitch approx 14m x 6m looking northward accessed by steps.

Named after Second Lieutenant Joseph Pease of The Lovat Scout’s who we believe supervised the digging of our trenches in 1915. This pitch is exactly on the site of the old front line filled in by quarrying. On an elevated position at the top of steps, facing south across The Glade, it’s ideal for couples. It will take a 4m diameter Bell Tent and a small pup tent or small Gazebo. This pitch is not recommended for those with small children. This pitch is NOT accessible to any vehicles.
