Dreamy Hollow Leisure Limited
This privacy statement explains what information we hold about you (if any), why we hold it, how we protect it for you and how you can have your information removed from our files if you so wish.
A new law – the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – comes into effect in May 2018 and affects the way organisations keep information about individuals and the rights they have. This is the purpose of this privacy statement.
When you book to stay with us you will normally use one of two routes. A booking through our own website or a booking through the Cool Camping website. Both routes end up with the Cool Camping Booking System which is run by Bedful. When you pay online the system uses the bank Stripe to take and process your online payment and transfer it to our bank.
The data we hold for you is limited to the information you put into our booking system. We cannot see your banking details as Stripe only shows us your name, what your payment is for, and the last four digits of your card for identification purposes.
We use your data in the booking system to manage your arrival and stay. We also use your email address and mobile number to contact you for information such as your expected time of arrival. We keep your information on the booking system for the purposes of managing and improving our business and services and complying with our legal obligations.
Where you have given us permission, we may send you our annual newsletter and occasional notifications of discounts and special offers for the next season by email . If you are happy with this, please give your permission when booking. You can withdraw your permission at any time, by writing to us at the address below, or by using the opt-out link in the emails.
When you make an enquiry through our website using the “Contact form” the information will kept only until your enquiry has been completed and it will then be deleted.
Cool Camping, UK Campsite, MailChimp and Stripe each have their own privacy policies and data protection measures in place to protect your rights and your information in their systems.
We do not pass your details onto any other third party during the normal course of business.
There may of course be rare circumstance where the police or the courts may order us to disclose information but this will only be done after we have taken professional advice on your rights under GDPR.
Dreamy Hollow operates security cameras to protect you and us from unauthorised access to the site. Our camera system has been carefully designed to do this while protecting your privacy. Recorded images are only used to identify unauthorised access. All other camera images are routinely destroyed. Images of unauthorised access are sent to the Police and may be used for prosecution or for the civil recovery of unauthorised access charges.
